Historian Report May 2014

In the past month we have had some fun activities going on like different campouts that were very fun. One for example was the camporee. We played very exiting games there like tug-of-war where we earned a plaque for second place. Another Thing that happened during the Camporee was a Church Service. The moment we got to gather and sit together to listen to the word of God.

Also we had a very special person who had earned his Eagle Scout badge and that person is

We are very grateful for another person to have achieved the Eagle Scout Award and we hope for many more soon to come. There has also been a Physical fitness Merit Badge opportunity for all of those who wanted to get that done. The activities that were there were challenging yet fun at the same time. The activities we did were a variety of stretches running and push-ups. Also everyone talked about what foods are healthy and what foods are not healthy.

On the latest camp-out we had, was a hiking trip at Juniper State Park. Everyone had lots of fun there.

Flag Cermony at TCHS Baseball Field

Hey guys, and thanks to everybody that participated in the TCHS Flag Ceremony. The guys that went there went out in the field and brought a little of the Boy Scout culture into people's lives. They joined the JROTC to lead everbody in the crowd in the Pledge of Alligence and the Naitional Anthem. They all showed citizenship to their nation and respect to their flag. Way to go out there guys.

Thanks again,

The Troop Historian, Casey

April Canoe Race Campout

Hey guys.  In April we went out to Worth Ranch to participate in a canoe race. Because of the water levels on the lake, sometimes we had to get out of boats and walk them across the shallows. We were all competitive but showed help to the people that needed help. Also different from past races as Mr. Taylor explained, we only had one boat that sunk. Our troop may have not come out first place but we still had a good time.

Thanks again,

The Troop Historian, Casey
